Things are gradually falling into place—today I “built” the puppy’s toy box and started putting a few things in it.
We have sturdy toys from Charlie, Oscar, and Darwin that are still usable. I plan to wash them so the puppy can play with them, too.
The long-term plan is to teach the puppy to put its toys away—it’s great mental stimulation. Beagles really enjoy using their minds, and it helps tire them out.
Once October arrives, I’ll share a bit more about the beagle puppy that is joining our family.
