I train for car cage

We have acquired a car crate for Nova. It is a Thule brand, making it an approved crate for car travel.
The crate have been in the living room ever since Nova came home. Nova has “visited” it from time to time.
Today, I placed the basket she usually has in her stroller inside the crate. After a quick outing with the stroller this morning, it was time for Nova to take a nap. As always, she wanted to fall asleep in my arms.
After a little while, I placed her inside the crate, where she continued to sleep. In total, she slept for about an hour and a half, shifting into various positions.
The door remained open the whole time. Next time, we will try with the door closed, while keeping a close eye on her.
There is no doubt that we have a Beagle who is very comfortable in the car. She loves sitting in her stroller and watching the world go by. Back at the breeder’s, she also went on a few trips—once because she had a small wound that needed to be checked by a vet, and another time when all the puppies had to be vaccinated.
When we picked her up, we didn’t encounter any issues during the hour-long drive home. So, we look forward to taking her along on future car trips.
