Today we mark, what would have been Charlies birthday.
Born 22.10.2004.
Charlie had a truly unique Beagle personality—something I have often written about elsewhere on this site.
It is difficult to describe if you never met him in person. He possessed an incredibly gentle, angelic temperament, yet he could also show a firm side when dealing with both Oscar and Darwin.
He played with them, taught them how to behave, and showed them so much more. In short, he was the “leader of the pack.”
In fact, this is the very reason this site came into existence; the name “Beaglepack” was the natural choice.
It has been 22 years since he was born, and 8½ years since we lost him. He is still deeply missed by the family, but he is the reason we ended up with more Beagles. Now, Nova has joined the pack as our fourth Beagle. Although she doesn’t have an adult Beagle by her side, she is being raised using the same methods Charlie once applied to Oscar and Darwin.
Happy heavenly birthday, my beloved Charlie.
