I make Darwin’s treats myself in our air fryer.
Since Darwin can’t eat industrially produced dog treats – due to his thyroid gland – there have been few options.
If it’s going to go fast – then it’s typically treats made from small sliced rye bread – or regular toast cut into smaller pieces.
The rye bread pieces need about 12 minutes at 190 degrees – the last about 4 minutes at 180 degrees.
The toast pieces also get 12 minutes at 190 degrees – the last 4 minutes at 175 degrees.
And the favorite is the toast – which Darwin loves the most.
